The Evolution of Weapons Technology Throughout History

Ministry of Culture and Tourism, inspired by the 102nd anniversary of our Republic, set out to carry our cultural heritage to future generations. This special project aims to bring together 102 different exhibitions and themes, works that have been brought to light for the first time, and the unique cultural richness of Anatolia with visitors.

In this context, the exhibition projects received from the museum directorates were examined by our Ministry and within the scope of the periodical exhibition project titled "102 Exhibitions in the 102nd Year: A Journey to the Cultural Heritage of Anatolia in the Light of the Republic", the "Development of Weapon Technology Throughout History" exhibition of the Edirne Museum Directorate was deemed suitable for display.

A total of 89 works from the firearms and non-firearms collection registered in the inventory of the Edirne Museum Directorate will be exhibited in the exhibition, 81 of which will be display for the first time.

The exhibition, which will open at the Turkish Islamic Arts Museum on March 24, 2025, at 14:30, can be visited until October 31, 2025.
