ANKARA Erimtan Archaeology and Arts Museum

Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum is a cultural institution where many valuable artifacts from the Roman, Urartian, Hittite, and Byzantine periods in the collection of Yüksel Erimtan are exhibited with innovative techniques, as well as archeology, all branches of art and interdisciplinary activities created with the awareness of contemporary museology.

As of the first quarter of 2015, three old Ankara houses in Kale Square, one of the oldest settlements in Ankara, have been transformed into today's museum building by preserving their historical and architectural values and started to host this special archeology collection. In the museum, where the collection covering a period from the 3rd millennium BC to the Byzantine Period is exhibited, a narrative using contemporary exhibition methods has been applied. In order to bring this vitality out of the exhibition areas, in the museum; an exhibition area that hosts temporary exhibitions, a multi-purpose hall that brings together science, culture, and art activities with the audience, and an educational workshop where learning programs are held for museum audiences of all ages, a museum store with original designs, a cafe where the audience can relax in the museum and when completed, there is a library available for use.

Nazan Gezer has been the director of the museum since 2016.
