Diyarbakır Museum

Prehistoric, Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Old Bronze, Iron Age, Urartu, Assyrian, Hellenistic, Roman Parthian, Byzantine, Seljuk, Akkoyunlu, artifacts recovered through excavations, purchases and confiscations in the region in the Diyarbakır Archeology Museum, which was established in 1934 in the first years of the Republic. There are 35,563 coins, archaeological and ethnographic works belonging to many civilizations and periods such as Ayyubid, Abbasid, Umayyad, Sassanid and Ottoman.

The Museum Directorate located in Diyarbakır İçkale consists of a complex area with 14 registered buildings.

These complex structures; Amida Mound and Artuklu Palace, St. George Church, Hz. Suleiman Mosque, Tomb of 27 Companions, Artuqid Arch, Aslanlı Fountain, Atatürk Museum, Gendarmerie Building, Old Prison Building, Corps Building, Foundations Directorate Building, Revenue Office Building, Courthouse A and Courthouse B buildings were formed by different functions.
