Erzurum Art and Sculpture Museum

ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ERZURUM PAINTING AND SCULPTURE MUSEUM

Erzurum Painting and Sculpture Museum and Gallery Directorate; was established in 1963 in the Public Education Center Building under the Ministry of National Education. It was transferred to the Cultural Center building, which was attached to the Ministry of Culture in 1976 and was built next to the Public Education Center building in 1986.

From the Cultural Center Building included in the Poolside City Square Project of Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, it was moved to Kazım Karabekir Public Library in 2012 and to the Congress Building in 2015. On 03.11.2016, the Congress Building was allocated to the General Directorate of Fine Arts of our Ministry. Our museum continues its activities in the Congress Building.
