In the Hamidiye Bastion, which was built by Asaf Pasha by Sultan Abdulhamid II in the 1890s to ensure the security of the Bosphorus, there are 10 bonnets (arsenal) structures and 9 cannon platforms positioned in a semi-circular form among them. The most powerful cannons of the era are located here. The inner parts of the bonnets are made of rubble stone and the outer parts are made of smooth-cut stone. The Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion is the base where the command headquarters are located. Therefore, the 3rd and 8th bonnets are wider and have two floors compared to the other bonnets.
